SEATTLE, Wash. -
December 10, 2020

Coinme Inc., a leading cryptocurrency exchange company, and Coinstar, LLC today announced their nationwide network of digital currency point-of-sale kiosks has surpassed 5,000 locations. This expansion introduces Coinme/Coinstar® bitcoin-enabled kiosks in ten new states: Georgia, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware and Rhode Island.

“Even amid global economic crises, Bitcoin hit an all-time high toward the end of 2020; it’s growing increasingly clear that it is indeed winning the monetary revolution,” said Neil Bergquist, Coinme CEO. “The fast-moving expansion of Bitcoin-enabled Coinstar kiosks means that more Americans than ever now have the power to invest in digital currencies and stake their claim in the future of money — even on a quick trip to the grocery store.”

With the expansion of bitcoin-enabled Coinstar kiosk locations, Coinme has solidified its position as the largest cash-cryptocurrency network in the U.S. The introduction of 10 new states advances its mission to make cryptocurrencies accessible to everyone.

“We’re thrilled to see this partnership continue to flourish,” said Michael Jack, vice president of product management at Coinstar. “We now have locations in 40 U.S. states, and that number will continue to climb. We are excited to continue our partnership that enables our cash preferred customers to conveniently access digital currencies.”
